Walsall's on-loan Southampton defender Jason McCarthy has been named among the nominees for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award for January.
Jason, who has been in superb form since joining the club over the summer, has scored five goals so far this season, including three in four appearances during January.
McCarthy, who spent the whole of last season on loan to Wycombe Wanderers, has made thirty-six appearances for the Saddlers so far this season, and has been instrumental in the recent spell of form which has seen the Boys from the Banks's rise to 11th in the League One table.
Jason has been nominated alongside Chuks Aneke (Milton Keynes Dons), Cian Bolger (Fleetwood Town), James Vaughan (Bury), Josh Morris (Scunthorpe United) and Mark Marshall (Bradford City).
