Walsall manger Jon Whitney has spoken to the local press and discussed his plans for Transfer Deadline Day, revealling that he expects to be busy at work as he looks to add strength to his squad.
Speaking to Joseph Masi of the Express & Star, Jon said; “I’m still speaking to a couple of people but, like I said before, I will not be rushed into bringing people into the club. We have got lots of young players who I believe in.
"A week is a long time in football and in these windows things always tend to happen last minute. I’ve got to be ready. I’ll be sitting up, getting a pizza in and staying in my office until midnight that day.
"We’ll see what can be done. I’m not panicking. I have got a really good group. But if something is there that can strengthen us we’d like to get it done."
