On Tuesday evening John Ward's Walsall development side travelled to the Coles Lane as they took on Romulus in the Quarter Final stage of this season's Walsall Senior Cup. A brief rundown of the match is below.

Our hosts began the game well and took the lead via Malachi Farquharson, who headed home to make his side's pressure tell.

Walsall levelled the scores later in the half as Jordon Sangha continued his recent spell of form and finished off a swift counter attack to get his side back on level terms. A nicely worked attack and deserved equaliser.

The Saddlers soon went into the lead, as Republic of Ireland Under 19s international Liam Kinsella raced through the Roms defence and found the back of the net.

There were no further goals during the match as the Saddlers booked their place in the Semi-Final of the competition.
