Following the news that he'd extended his loan with the Saddlers until the end of the season, Scunthorpe United defender Scott Laird has spoken to club journalists and expressed his delight as his immediate future is secure and he can once again concentrate on his football.
Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Scott said; "I’m absolutely delighted to get it done. It was a bit delayed but it did help not having a game last weekend as it gave us more time to get it all done. But everything has now been sorted between the two clubs and I’m delighted to get it over the line ahead of the big game on Saturday.
"I can’t thank the fans enough for how they’ve taken to me. I had some big boots to fill with Rico, but I’d like to think I’ve done enough and I’m looking forward to cracking on in the second half of the season."
