Walsall's on-loan Celtic defender Eoghan O'Connell has been named in the EFL's 'Team of the Week' following his fine display during the Saddlers' Sky Bet League One victory over Bristol Rovers, which saw the Republic of Ireland U21 international score the first goal of his loan spell.

The EFL's Team of the Week announcement, which you can read via EFL.com states; Making just his second appearance for the club, O'Connell was a colossus at the back as Walsall recorded a second straight home win. The on-loan Celtic defender also netted his first career goal to put the Saddlers on their way to the 3-1 success against Bristol Rovers.
