Walsall Football Club's Community Programme have confirmed that there will be over 1,000 local school children in the Community Stand this Saturday afternoon as the Saddlers play host to Gillingham in Sky Bet League One.

The fixture is the club's annual School Partners game which aims to introduce the next generation of Saddlers fans to the club.

The children have received tickets through their Walsall FC Partner School at reduced prices for this one-off game, meaning that over £500 has been raised for local schools.

Since the club's School Partners began in 2008 over 18,000 tickets have been sold, with more than £9,000 going to local schools.

Schools can get various benefits by partnering with the Walsall FC Community Programme.

Schools can get PE lessons run by our qualified coaches, as well as cashback on after school clubs held by our staff.

There is also first option on Walsall FC player appearances, with the schools also receiving a signed football from the club.

Other benefits include ground tours, ticket offers on select Walsall fixtures and an invitation to a national school 6-a-side competition.
