Walsall's on-loan Aston Villa defender Kevin Toner, who is due to remain at the Banks's Stadium until January, has spoken to the local press ahead of this weekend's Emirates FA Cup clash with Macclesfield Town, and has discussed his desire to remain with the club to continue his development.

Speaking via the Express & Star, Kevin said; "If I can I’d like to stay on and get a full season in League One. It’s a great team spirit here. I was one of the later boys to come in but everyone is so friendly and they all came up to me and welcomed me in. It is 100 per cent better for me than playing in the under-21 league."
