Following the news that he'd put pen-to-paper on a one-year contract extension, Walsall winger Kieron Morris has spoken to club journalists and shared his delight as he can push on knowing his future is secure.

Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Kieron said; "I’m really pleased. I’ve got that bit more security with a year on top of my existing contract and I can look to push on now.

"This club is amazing for bringing youngsters through and you only have to look at some of the names who have passed through the door in the last five, ten, fifteen years. It’s a place where you will get your chance and it’s up to you then to take it.

"I’m grateful that the club allowed me to develop and now I have to kick on and keep performing. I’m buzzing with how things have gone to be honest. From being on loan at Wrexham having to prove myself to being named in the team most games this season, I’m really happy.

"Playing week in week out breeds confidence and that’s why I think people are starting to see the best of me. I felt I was playing for a contract eighteen months ago when I came back from my loan spell and you do feel the pressure and worry but I’m a lot more settled now and just enjoying my football.

"Last year I was in and out a lot and it’s hard to get that consistency but I’m playing games and scoring goals."
