Later this afternoon Walsall Football Club's development side will play host to Port Vale in their opening game of the 2016/17 Central Development League campaign.

Professional Development Coach John Ward is expected to name a youthful side as several members of the first-team continue to recover from injuries.

The match, which is scheduled to kick-off at 2:00pm, will take place at the Birmingham County FA's Headquarters on Ray Hall Lane in Great Barr, and is open to the public free of charge.
