Walsall striker Simeon Jackson has been named in the EFL Team of the Week following the Saddlers' season-opening Sky Bet League One victory over AFC Wimbledon.
29-year-old, Jamaica born Jackson, who joined the Saddlers on a free transfer following an unsuccessful spell with Blackburn Rovers, made an immediate impact as he bagged a brace as his side earned an opening-day victory over the recently-promoted Dons.
Fellow new recruit Erhun Oztumer had opened the scoring with a superb free-kick as Jon Whitney's men made the perfect start to the 2016/17 campaign.
The rest of the team includes; Aaron Chapman (Accrington Stanley), Byron Webster (Millwall), Scott Cuthbert (Luton Town), Joe McNerney (Crawley Town), Wes Hoolahan (Norwich City), Yaser Kasim (Swindon Town), Aaron Mooy (Huddersfield Town), Marcus Maddison (Peterborough United), Grant Ward (Ipswich Town) and Britt Assombalonga (Nottingham Forest).
