Following the news that Rico Henry had completed an initial £1.5m transfer to Brentford, Walsall Football Club have this afternoon confirmed the loan signing of Scunthorpe United left-back Scott Laird.
Following the news that Rico Henry had completed an initial £1.5m transfer to Brentford, Walsall Football Club have this afternoon confirmed the loan signing of Scunthorpe United left-back Scott Laird.

28-year-old, Taunton-born Laird joined Scunthorpe on a three-year deal in the summer of 2015 and has gone on to make almost forty first-team appearances.

Before joining the Iron, Scott, who rose through the ranks at Plymouth Argyle to pen pro-terms in 2006, played for Plymouth, Stevenage and Preston North End, making over three-hundred first-team appearances.
