Following the news that Tom Bradshaw had completed a move to Barnsley, Walsall Football Club released a brief statement, via their official Twitter feed, condemning the Sky Bet Championship side for breaking a previously agreed publication embargo, aimed at releasing news of a deal collectively.

The club, who have received plenty of criticism not only for their decision to allow Bradshaw to depart, but for the length of time it took them to acknowledge the deal, stated; We apologise for the delay in announcing this information. Despite a written agreement, agreed by all parties Barnsley took it upon themselves to break the agreement. We are extremely disappointed by their conduct.

Following the completion of a medical and associated paperwork, news of the finalised transfer agreement was expected to be confirmed early on Friday morning, however Barnsley posted links on Twitter, Facebook and via their official website just after 8:30pm on Thursday evening.
