Following the news that he'd decided to reject Walsall's offer of a new one-year deal and subsequently agreed terms with Sky Bet League Two side Blackpool, left-back Andy Taylor has taken to social media to thank the club's staff, players and fans for their support during his Saddlers career.

Andy, who has penned an initial one-year deal with the Seasiders, said; "After four great years at Walsall the time has come for me to move on and take on a new challenge. It has been a very difficult decision to leave, but one that is best for me and my family, I think.

"I will be forever grateful to the club for giving me the opportunity to rebuild my career as it did and will always have fond memories of my time there. It has been a privilege to play for this club for the past four seasons. A privilege that I never took for granted and I'm sure all will agree, I gave my all for the club every time I put on the Walsall shirt.

"A huge thank you to everyone at Walsall FC, for all they did for me. The players, the staff and the fans alike, I wish everyone the best of luck for the future."
