Reports on the Telegraph's website suggest that Leicester City are preparing to make a final bid of £30,000,000 for Watford's former Walsall striker Troy Deeney, as Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri continues to pursue the Birmingham-born attacker.

With Watford keen to keep hold of their captain, it is believed that they will discuss his future in a board meeting later today as the Premier League winning Foxes continue to target the 27-year-old.

It is also being reported that Deeney has expressed a desire to speak to Leicester after Watford rejected two bids including a £25million proposal which was made over the weekend.

Walsall, who sold Deeney to Watford in the summer of 2010, are due around 20-25% of the potential profit Watford make on their initial £500,000 pay-out.
