Following the news that Walsall had signed 18-year-old Bermudian Kacy Milan Butterfield, the highly rated midfielder, who spent a spell on trial with the club last season, has spoken to club journalists and discussed his desire to learn as much as he can.
Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Butterfield, who was recommended to the club by Kyle Lightbourne, said; “I’ve loved it here – how the club has treated me and how the players have taken me straight. The first game here it was sunny state, and then the snow in the same match, which takes a little getting used to.
“I just want to learn as much as I can, and out on the pitch and start playing. Kyle is one of my coaches back in Bermuda that will give me some advice about my game and spoke really well of the club. When Whits said he wanted to offer me a lot, I was just ecstatic and I can not wait to leave.”
