Walsall Chairman Jeff Bonser has spoken to club journalists following the news that Jon Whitney has been appointed First-Team Manager on a three-year contract, and has insisted that Whitney, who has spent more than a decade at the club, is the right man to take the club forward.
Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Jeff said; “Jon is the right man for the job. He knows the inner workings of the club and has all the relevant knowledge and experience to take the club forward. He understands the philosophy and has an excellent relationship with the players, staff, fans and Board of Directors alike."
