On Sunday afternoon, Walsall Football Club will travel to Vale Park as they take on Port Vale in the final Sky Bet League 1 fixture of the season. We have once again teamed up with ToThe92.co.uk to bring you the latest stadium information.
Walsall supporters will be accommodated in the Hamil Road Away Stand. The view is very good generally although, as with many older stadiums, there are several supporting pillars that can get in the way if you sit too far back.
PRE-MATCH REFRESHMENTS
Walsall supporters are reminded that there is no designated pub for visiting fans, but they are welcome to visit the Vale Social ahead of kick-off, the Stadium will also serve alcohol from 11:00am.
Outside of the stadium there are usually a couple of burger vans, but further up Hamil Road there is a cafe just past the church. Further on still, the second street on the right, May Street has a chip shop 100 yards from Hamil Road.
CAR PARKING
Car parking is available opposite the stadium in a large car park charging around £4 per car on match days. However, street parking is also available in the roads surrounding the stadium if you arrive early enough to take advantage, but please respect residents' driveways.
GETTING TO THE GROUND
The closest train station to Port Vale's Vale Park Stadium is Longport, less than two miles from the ground.
The more widely-used mainline station is Stoke-on-Trent which is served by regular trains from Birmingham, Manchester and London and is located around four miles away. It's not really viable to walk from here so a bus or taxi ride to the ground is the best option. There is a taxi rank at the station so you won't struggle to find one neither will you have to wait long.
