Walsall winger Anthony Forde has spoken to the local press following Sunday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 victory over Port Vale, which was the Saddlers' third win on the bounce, and has insisted that the recent run of form stands them in good stead for the Play-Offs.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Anthony, who was named in the Football League's 'Team of the Week' following his goal-scoring display, said; “We have responded really well. We knew going into the Shrewsbury game we needed a big performance.
“We did it and that set us up for Fleetwood and Port Vale. Every player, every fan, everyone involved should be proud of those performances and how we have finished the season.
“Now we are fully focused on the Play-Offs. If we play like we have in our last three games then we are in with a great chance.”
