Rovers, who are currently in the Sky Bet League 1 relegation zone, need a win and an unlikely swing in goals on Sunday afternoon to have any chance of securing an unlikely place in next season's League 1 table.

With Fleetwood Town currently outside the relegation zone with a ten goal advantage, Donny supporters will have a keen eye on the Cod Army's clash with already relegated Crewe Alexandra, while also hoping troubled side Blackpool slip to defeat against mid-table Peterborough United.

Speaking via Doncaster Rovers' Twitter page, Andy, who made over 170 Saddlers appearances, backed his side to bounce back if they don't get the results they need this weekend, along with discussing his desire to be one of the players to lead them back into the league, he said; "I want this club, my local club to be promoted this time next year. It won't be easy but I want to be one of those leading the way. We will bounce back and we do believe that we can do this at the first attempt.

"The manager has his plans and we are fully behind them. We want our fans to go home with a smile on their faces on Sunday. They deserve that."
