Earlier today, Walsall's Reserves side took on Bradford City in the last remaining Final Third Development League (West) fixture of the season.

The Saddlers named long-term absentee Isaiah Osbourne and several trialists among their squad, including; Milan Butterfield from Bermuda, Dilano Reid of Alvechurch, Jordan Potter and Khaellem Bailey-Nicholls of Birmingham City, along with Lewis Archer of Aston Villa.

Also among the starting XI was Manchester United midfielder Oliver Rathbone. The 19-year-old Blackburn-born academy graduate is an attacking midfielder and is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Red Devils, but has earned rave reviews for his overall performances for the Under 18s.

The Saddlers team were ultimately defeated by Bradford City, as Reece Webb-Foster (4), Sumali Cissa and Daniel Devine all scored to see the Bantams secure the Development League (West) title with one game remaining.
