The Walsall Football Supporters' Trust have today issued an update following the recent cancellation of 'An Evening with Ray Graydon', which was scheduled to take place last week, but was ultimately cancelled on medical grounds.
A statement, released via the Trust's Official Facebook group, confirms that Ray, who had a successful operation last Wednesday, had little choice but to cancel his appearance having been called up at very short notice on Monday.
Ray is back home, but the nature of the operation means that he is having difficulty speaking and swallowing and still is in some discomfort, but is progressing well with the help of his wife Sue, and a new fitness plan.
Ray, Sue and their family have asked the Trust to pass on their thanks to all Saddlers fans for their concern and messages, and stressed that Ray will be visiting the Banks's Stadium when he completes his recovery.
