Walsall winger Anthony Forde has spoken to club journalists as he and his teammates continue to prepare for Monday afternoon's televised Sky Bet League 1 clash with Fleetwood Town, and has discussed Saturday's clash between Burton Albion and Gillingham before praising Interim Head Coach Jon Whitney.
Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, the former Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy graduate said; “Of course, we’ll be looking for Burton result – it’s natural. Hopefully it’ll be a good result for us. But between now and Fleetwood, we’ll be trying to get a good rest in because we’ve had a lot of Saturday-Tuesday games. We’ll look to freshen up and hopefully we’ll get another great result on Monday.”
Anthony also spoke about Interim Head Coach Jon Whitney, and went on to praise the former Head Physio as he prepares to take charge of his 11th Saddlers match, Anthony said; “He’s brilliant to be around. He’s so enthusiastic around the training ground and he’s been that way ever since I came in. He gives everyone a great lift. With Neil Cutler and Dean Holden as well, it’s a great group we have here.”
