David 'Dave' Robinson

The Walsall Football Supporters' Trust have today confirmed the sad passing of former Walsall, Birmingham City and Tamworth defender David Robinson.

Dave played nearly 300 games in the Football League for the Blues, where he was part of the side that were Second Division runners-up 1972, and Saddlers, who he joined in 1973 before departing in 1978 to continue his playing career with local non-league side Tamworth.

Dave went on to become manager of now dissolved side Oldbury United between 1980 and 1982.

We would like to pass on our sincere condolences to Dave's family, friends, and fans during this truly sad time.
