Young Walsall midfielder Nathan Owen has been named among the candidates for the League Football Education (LFE) February Goal of the Month, following his strike against Accrington Stanley.

The LFE's website states; Milwall striker Mikael Ndjoli headlines the latest instalment of League Football Education’s Goal of the Month competition with two entries.

The Lions forward who has played in the club’s Under-21s this term makes the shortlist with two very different but equally as impressive goals. His first is a left-foot screamer against Colchester, while his second is a sublime back-heel against Queens Park Rangers.

Khaellem Bailey’s sparkling strike for Birmingham opens up this month’s competition and there are also stunning contributions from Charlton midfielder, Chris Millar, Northampton Town starlet Shaun McWilliams, Portsmouth’s Brandon Joseph-Buadi and Walsall’s Nathan Owen.

Fabian Bailey’s goal underlined his potential as a future star at Rotherham and James Waite finishes a fine team goal from Cardiff. Lewis Price’s wonder volley for Sheffield Wednesday is also sure to attract the attention of voters.
