Walsall's Interim Head Coach Jon Whitney has spoken to club journalists following today's news that central defender Kyle Rowley has had his contract terminated by mutual consent, and has wished him well for the future.

Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Jon said; “I would like to wish Kyle all the best for the future. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out and he’s not part of my plans. I wanted to finish him earlier as it gives him a chance to get himself somewhere else. I hope the disappointment makes him a stronger person and he sees it as an opportunity to then get better.”
