Walsall's Interim Head Coach Jon Whitney has spoken to club journalists following Saturday afternoon's League 1 victory over Chesterfield, and has praised the travelling support and urged them to make the trip to Fleetwood, with Fish and Chips joining football on the menu.
Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Jon said; “The fans were brilliant. It’s a great credit to them because it can be difficult at times with money being tight. But it’d be fantastic if they can get themselves up on Tuesday.
“The fish and chips are great in Fleetwood so drive up just for that! And as well as that, you can watch a game of football! If we can have that support again then that’ll have a massive impact on the players.”
