Walsall goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has spoken to the local press following Tuesday evening's Sky Bet League 1 draw with Scunthorpe United, and has insisted that his side were unfortunate not to win, and are putting in some solid performances.

Speaking via the Walsall Advertiser, Neil said; "We were unfortunate not to win against Scunthorpe on Tuesday. I think we played well then and on numerous occasions in the last few games but things just haven't fallen for us. But we are playing consistent football and starting to keep clean sheets again so it's a base we can really move on from.

"We are still up there and if we can keep continuing producing good performances, I know the goals will come again. The main thing is that we are keeping clean sheets, we are very solid at the back again. And if we continue like this, the switch will flick and we will put them in the back of the net."
