O'Driscoll to Consider New Formation as Promotion Remains in Focus

Walsall Head Coach Sean O'Driscoll has spoken to the local press ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Barnsley, and has discussed the possibility of altering the team's formation as the goals continue to dry up.

Speaking via the Express & Star, Sean said; “There are no dead rubbers. The dilemma is do you play another striker and lose that organisation – what has really made the team successful.

“That is something we have to look at and see if it is an option. If it is, it will cause us problems in other areas. Bradshaw, against Scunthorpe, I thought was tremendous in other parts of this game. Chasing down defenders and also the goalkeeper when it would be easy not to do anything. But he chases everyone down and then quickly gets back into shape.

“Defensively we do the right things and work hard off the ball. That is a must for any successful team and now we just have to keep plugging away. Sometimes when there is a bit of negativity flying around it’s easy not to do the right things. But I think they have all shown they are really together."
