Walsall's Sky Bet League 1 clash with fellow promotion hopefuls Gillingham, which was due to take place at the Priestfield Stadium on Good Friday, 25th March, has been postponed as Neil Etheridge, Jason Demetriou and Romaine Sawyers have all been called up for international duty.

A new date will be confirmed in due course. Etheridge will feature for the Azkals in their FIFA World Cup 2018 Asian Qualifiers/Asian Cup Qualifiers 2019 away at Uzbekistan on 24th March and at home to DPR Korea on 29th March.

Sawyers will travel to Aruba with St. Kitts & Nevis to take part in the 2016 Caribbean Cup. The Sugar Boyz are positioned in Group One with Aruba and Antigua & Barbuda. The competition will take place in Aruba and at the Warner Park Football Stadium over the period 26th to 29th March, 2016.

Demetriou will link-up with his Cypriot teammates for their International Friendly with Ukraine at Chernomorets Stadium, Odessa, Ukraine on 24th March.

Demetriou will be released back to Walsall in time for our Easter Monday clash with Shrewsbury Town meaning, at present, The Saddlers will go into that game without Etheridge and Sawyers as the Football League criteria is three International Call-Ups.

Should another member of the Saddlers squad receive an International Call-Up later this week, the fixture with Shrewsbury will also be postponed.
