Later this morning, Walsall Football Club's Under 18s side will return to Football League Youth Alliance (North West) action as they play host to Preston North End Under 18s at Ray Hall Lane.

Neil Woods' Saddlers currently sit fourth in the Youth Alliance and arrive at this weekend's match following last Saturday's goal-heavy match with Blackpool, which saw the Seasiders win by four-goals-to-three. The Reds have won eight of their sixteen Alliance matches, and will be keen to bridge the gap to league leaders Wigan Athletic.

Preston, who are eight in the Youth Alliance, have won their last five games in all competitions, and arrive at this weekend's match following a midweek victory over Bury. North End won the match by three-goals-to-one and continued their move towards the secure mid table positions.

Today's match is set to kick off at 11:00am and will take place at the Birmingham County Football Association Headquarters on Ray Hall Lane in Great Barr.
