Following Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 defeat to fellow promotion chasers Wigan Athletic, Walsall goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has taken to social media and admitted to feeling 'numb' as a late Yanic Wildschut goal secured all three points for the Latics.

Speaking via Twitter, Neil said; “Came off the field yesterday feeling numb and in shock! I said before yesterday (Saturday) will not determine whether we go up or not, but it was just a massive kick in the teeth at the final stages of the game.

“There are still a lot of games left and we need to get ourselves back on track to achieve what we set ourselves to do at the start of the season.”
