Former Walsall player/coach Dean Holden has today left his Assistant Manager's position at Sky Bet League 1 side Oldham Athletic following the sacking of manager David Dunn.

Holden, who made over thirty first-team appearances for the Saddlers over a two-year spell, joined the Latics in November 2014 and went on to take the position of First Team Coach, before progressing to Caretaker Manager and eventually Assistant Manager in late 2015.

Oldham Chairman Simon Corney spoke to OldhamAthletic.co.uk and paid tribute to the former Saddler, he said; "Dean has been a loyal and dedicated servant to the club and he leaves with our gratitude and best wishes.”
