Walsall Head Coach Sean O'Driscoll has spoken to the local media following Saturday afternoon's surprise end to Manchester City midfielder George Evans' loan deal, and has discussed his hope that the club will now attract more young players looking to enhance their reputations, and gain first-team experience.

Speaking via the Express & Star, Sean said; “It was almost inevitable George would leave. Walsall have put him in the shop window and everyone at the club is delighted for him.

“He went to Bury so he could see the lads and hopefully the reputation of Walsall as a club that takes players from bigger clubs and improves them will be enhanced. Hopefully we can benefit from that in the future.”
