Walsall midfielder Sam Mantom has been named among the substitutes for Walsall's Sky Bet League 1 clash with near-rivals Shrewsbury Town, which takes place later this evening at Greenhous Meadow.

23-year-old, Stourbridge born Mantom suffered an ankle injury during the Saddlers' Sky Bet League 1 defeat to Chesterfield, which took place at Banks's Stadium on Saturday, 17th October, and has not made an appearance since.

Sam played for seventy-minutes of the Saddlers' Birmingham Senior Cup clash with Stratford Town, and has clearly impressed John Ward, Jon Whitney and Neil Cutler as he looks set to make a return to action.
