Ahead of this weekend's televised Sky Bet League 1 clash between Walsall and visitors Port Vale, former Saddlers defender Ben Purkiss has spoken to club journalists, and revealed that this fixture was the first one he looked for on fixture release day.
Speaking via Port-Vale.co.uk, Ben said; “I’m looking forward to it. It was the first fixture I looked for when the fixture list was first published and I’m just looking forward to going back.
“It’s a really good club, it’s a club that’s run in the right way, everyone pulling in the same direction, everyone getting behind each other.”
