Earlier today, Walsall Football Club's Under-18s side travelled to Burnley's Gawthorpe Hall Training Ground as they faced the Clarets in the latest Football League Youth Alliance (North West) fixture of the season.

Neil Woods' Young Saddlers arrived at the game following a two-nil victory over then-league leaders Tranmere Rovers. Goals from Kyle King ans Maz Kouhyar giving their side all three points.

It was Walsall that opened the scoring, team captain Jordon Sangha lashed home from distance after twenty-five minutes of play, a great strike from the midfield man.

Burnley soon levelled the scores as Chakwana Tinashe finished from close range following a goal-mouth scramble. The scores did not remain level however, as Walsall's Tobias Hayles-Docherty snatched a late winner to give his side all three points.

A great result for the Young Saddlers as they continue their fantastic start to the Youth Alliance campaign.
