Following the news that Walsall manager Dean Smith and First Team Coach Richard O'Kelly had agreed terms with Brentford, Saddlers Chairman Jeff Bonser spoke to club journalists and revealed that John Ward, Jon Whitney and Neil Cutler will take charge of the side as they prepare for Tuesday's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Shrewsbury Town.
Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Jeff said; "We find ourselves in the somewhat unusual position of looking to recruit a new management team whilst in such a strong position both on and off the field. I am sure we will have a high number of applicants for the role and it is the job of myself and the Board of Directors to ensure that we make the right appointment.
"In the meantime John Ward, Jon Whitney and Neil Cutler will take temporary control of first team matters."
