Following Saturday afternoon's comeback victory over Gillingham, which saw Walsall rise from two goals behind to snatch all three points against the then top-of-the-table side, Saddlers manager Dean Smith has been named as manager of the Football League's Team of the Week.
The Football League's article states; "Another weekend of Football League action is over and that means it's time once again for our Team of the Week. Goals, shocks, dramatic comebacks - it was a weekend that had it all.
"There are plenty of managerial contenders this week but the honours go to Dean Smith, who saw his side come back from two down to beat Gillingham 3-2 in Sky Bet League 1.
"Goals from Kieron Morris and Milan Lalkovic levelled things up before half-time, and Jason Demetriou's stoppage-time winner took the Saddlers above their opponents and back to the division's summit."
