According to Philippines based website Inquirer.net, Walsall Football Club's first-choice goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has picked up what appears to be a minor hamstring injury during a recent training session, and will miss the Azkals' international clash with Yemen, which is due to take place on Thursday at Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila.

Azkals coach Thomas Dooley discussed his goalkeeping options during a press conference on Wednesday afternoon, and confirmed that second-choice goalkeeper Roland Muller will start in lieu of Etheridge, as he is unwilling to take a risk during such a big match, he said; “I don’t want to take any risk. Roland had an excellent training session yesterday. He did an excellent job. He looked sharp, very quick. The way that I saw him in the Challenge Cup, he was outstanding over there.”

When asked specifically about the condition of Etheridge, Dooley went on to say; “He’s not 100-percent, and it’s still unknown if it holds for the game or not. So for me, it’s a reason that he’s not going to play.”
