Earlier today, Walsall Football Club issued a statement via Twitter and confirmed that following a consultation with West Midlands Police, and in light of recent events, there will be an increased Police presence across all football games in the West Midlands this weekend.
Speaking via Twitter.com, the club confirm; "The West Midlands Police Football Unit has been in close contact with all West Midlands Football Clubs in light of recent events. There will be an increased police presence at all West Midlands football games and the Rugby game in Coventry.
"This is to offer reassurance to supporters and fans that the priority is the safety and security of the public."
