Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the local press ahead of Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Wigan Athletic, and has insisted that his side has nothing to fear despite going up against one of the biggest clubs in the division.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said; “They are one of the biggest clubs in the division in terms of money and budget. In fact, they still have parachute payments from their time in the Premier League.
“It’s going to be an interesting game because they have recruited well. I’ve watched them a couple of times and performances have been good. They are a footballing team so it will certainly be a footballing game.
“We are going to be at our best because they have a lot of good players. But we go there full of confidence and looking to win. We are unbeaten away from home and have nothing to fear.”
