Walsall midfielder Isaiah Osbourne has undergone a 'clean-up' operation on his knee in a bid to resolve the injury that has ruled him out of action since the middle of September.

Walsall midfielder Isaiah Osbourne has undergone a 'clean-up' operation on his knee in a bid to resolve the injury that has ruled him out of action since the middle of September.

Osbourne, who is a product of the Aston Villa youth system, joined the Saddlers as a free agent early last month following his summer departure from Scunthorpe United.

Isaiah is understood to have picked up the injury during a training drill and will now miss the next few weeks as he seeks to return to full fitness, and force his way into the side.
