Walsall midfielder Sam Mantom, who limped off during the Saddlers' Sky Bet League 1 defeat to Chesterfield, is set to miss 'three to four weeks' of action with a high ankle strain.
Sam, who joined the Saddlers on a permanent basis in 2013, has made over 100 appearances for the side and is expected to return before December.
Sam will be replaced by Manchester CIty's George Evans, who made a scoring debut during the Saddlers' midweek victory over Barnsley.
Meanwhile, Isaiah Osbourne is set to begin his rehabilitation from minor knee surgery very soon, with the midfielder hoping to make a quick recovery and get into contention for a starting role.
