Walsall midfielder Sam Mantom has been named among the nominees for the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month for August following a successful start to the 2015/16 campaign.

Walsall midfielder Sam Mantom has been named among the nominees for the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month for August following a successful start to the 2015/16 campaign.

Sam missed the majority of last season with a a knee injury, but has blossomed so far this campaign, scoring in each of Walsall's three away wins to earn a nomination.

Also nominated are; Coventry striker Adam Armstrong. Rochdale centre-back Jim McNulty, and Gillingham midfielder Bradley Dack.
