Walsall Football Club wing-back Jason Demetriou was among the Cyprus starting XI as they played host to Wales in the latest set of UEFA Euro 2016 qualifiers.
The match, which took place at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia, ended one-nil to Wales following a Gareth Bale header eight minutes from time, Demetriou was unable to out-jump the Real Madrid winger who notched his sixth goal in seven games for his country.
Cyprus will play host to Belgium on Sunday evening as they seek to keep their qualification hopes alive as the tournament nears.
