Walsall goalkeeper Neil Etheridge, and right winger Jason Demetriou will both miss the Saddlers' Sky Bet League 1 clash with top-of-the-table side Burton Albion on Saturday, 10th October as both have been called up for international duty for the Philippines and Cyprus respectively.

The Saddlers' official website, Saddlers.co.uk, confirms; "Demetriou will link up with his countrymen for their UEFA EURO 2016 Preliminary Competition, Group B fixtures against Israel and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Constantinos Charalambides's side have accumulated nine points from eight games played but a third place finish remains a realistic target. Israel sit four points ahead of Cyprus but a win over Bosnia and Herzegovina would see Demetriou's men leapfrog Dzeko and co.

"Meanwhile, Neil Etheridge has been called up for Philippines’ 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ - Asian Qualifiers / AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019™ - Qualifying (Round 2) matches against the DPR Korea on 8th October in Pyongyang, and Bahrain on 13th October in Manama, Bahrain.

"The Azkals sit joint second, alongside Uzbekistan, in Group H having won two and lost one of their three matches so far.

"Etheridge has been capped over 40 times for his native Philippines and will be looking to take his fine domestic form on to the international stage."
