On Wednesday evening Walsall Football Club will play host to Barclays Premier League champions Chelsea, in the Third Round of the Capital One Cup. Ahead of the game, Saddlers midfielder Romaine Sawyers has spoken to the local press and insisted that all the players are inspired by the occasion and determined to make their mark.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Romaine said; “All the players are inspired by the occasion and we are determined to make our mark. We can show our excitement now.
"We have had a lot of league games since the draw but we are really looking forward to it. This is a big opportunity for us. They are the English champions but we have great belief. It’s the chance to make history and we believe we can match them.”
