On Saturday afternoon Walsall played host to Oldham Athletic on the opening game of the 2015/16 Sky Bet League 1 campaign.

In the first edition of our new 'Junior Journalist' feature, ten year old Noah Harper was in attendance, and shares his match report below.

This match was even all round, nothing much could separate these two. The match could go anywhere.

In the first 10 minutes Romaine had a crack at goal and scored it. After that we had many more chances which we couldn't convert, so it stayed 1-0 at the break.

At half time Romaine's Mum commented that he didn't smile in his school photo's and she had told him to smile in the team photo.

In the second half the Latics struck back in the 83rd minute, sadly we couldn't strike home and we went for a 1-1 draw.

Noah's Lesson from the game: If you don't win just accept and move on!
