Wigan Athletic are understood to have had a bid for Brentford's former Walsall striker Will Grigg rejected, as Milton Keynes Dons continue to be favourites for his signature.
The Latics are said to have offered around £700,000 for the Northern Ireland international, with the Bees looking for around £1,000,000.
Grigg made forty-four league appearances for MK Dons during their promotion winning 2014/15 Sky Bet League 1 campaign, and bagged over twenty goals for the side, helping them to take the second automatic promotion spot.
Walsall will be due 20% of any future sale following his tribunal agreed £325,000 initial transfer in the summer of 2013.
