Walsall Football Club have confirmed that they will hold a Minute’s Silence to remember victims of the Tunisian beach attack.

The silence will take place tomorrow (Friday, July 3rd at 12:00 BST), a week after the shooting which killed 38 people including three Saddlers Supporters - Joel Richards, Adrian Evans and Charles ‘Patrick’ Evans.

Joel was 19 years of age and a season-ticket holder. He was a budding referee and a student at the University of Worcester. His uncle, 49 year-old Adrian, who worked for Sandwell Council, was also a season-ticket holder here at Banks’s Stadium, whilst his father, Charles, 78, was a keen follower of the club and a great lover of football.

The Minute’s Silence will take place outside of Main Reception at Banks’s Stadium. Club Staff and Officials will be present along with Dean Smith and the entire playing squad. Supporters are welcome to join the club in this short service to pay their respects and to lay tributes.

A member of the Birmingham County Football Association Referee’s Department, where Joel was a referee, will blow a whistle to mark the start and end of the Minute’s Silence. Walsall FC Club Chaplain, Peter Hart, will then say a short prayer to mark the end of the proceedings.

As a result, Main Reception will be closed between 11:30am and 12:30pm tomorrow.

Supporters are welcome to attend short service and are reminded that tributes can be laid at Banks’s Stadium up until 12.00 noon on Friday.
